Rinse & Restore: Mary Rigg Community Center

Description

This Outreach entails assisting our team with providing showers to our neighbors experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis every Monday. We will serve at one location for approximately 4 hours. Volunteer opportunities may include: set up, sign in/greeter, timer, shower turnover, clothing distribution and packing up. 

You will meet the Food 4 Souls team at Mary Rigg Community Center at 9:15 am. MRCC is located at 1920 West Morris St, Indianapolis, 46221. If volunteers are riding in the truck from Hamilton County they should arrive at Heartland Church at 8:30 am.

HELPFUL HINTS

1) You will serve outside. Please dress accordingly.

2) IF YOU ARE A NEW VOLUNTEER OR VOLUNTEERING THROUGH A CHURCH, ORGANIZATION, OR SCHOOL, PLEASE LET US KNOW IN THE COMMENTS SECTION WHEN YOU SIGN UP.

Inclement Weather Plan: Please dress in accordance with the weather on the day of serving. You will be notified of cancellation should there be severe weather, heavy rain or a chance of rain at 80% or greater at the time of serving. Also, please note, a parent or guardian must serve with a volunteer between the ages of 15-18.
